OK..on the YMBD blog they post a layout to lift every Saturday and last Saturday I fell in Love with Megan's layout. I absolutely LOVED how she popped up a portion of her layout and the sentiment stamping for the border. I sooo had to lift it...viola: Yes...that is a pink pipe cleaner attached to the scallop transparency. I used a purple sharpie and hand wrote the title. PPs are crate paper and MM.

More fun!
Here is another layout that I completed last night. (I really need to wait for daylight to take photos!) I LOVE this one also. It was so fun to create. It was inspired by an AD challenge at the Scrapperie. It was an OP had with fun colors and swirls. Well...I LOVE swirls, just never seem to incorporate them in my layouts. So I was determined this time. I started with the flourishes and some rosy pink paper. Then penciled in some lines and added some water colors. I manually collaged up the photos and cut the one side to fit the swirlness. I added green stickles between the water colors for more definition. I colored white doodlebug letter sickers with markers (wish I had colored sharpies...the color did not stick well). And viola...a fun, non-linear page! Yahoo!!!

Scrappy funk...
...what scrappy funk! LOL!!! I think I feel like I'm finally out of the scrappy funk that I was in FOREVER. I really like the last couple of projects I've done. This one is the title page for my 92 days of summer book. It has a great summer feel and 11 different patterned papers on it. I LOVE how the stitching looks like rays of a sun.

Week #2 --> 92 days of summer
Here is my week #2 layout for the 92 days of summer contest at YMBD. I have to say this contest has really gotten my out of my funk. I'm doing non-Kelly photos and they have been providing great sketches. Heather provided this 2 pager sketch. I focused on things that I love this week. I have Kelly, her little garden, my grandmother's ring, scrapperie kits, my scrap room, flowers, and my bird feeder.
Most materials are MM Whimsy, with some ribbon, stitching, robin's nest rain drops, and doodling. This layout was WAY fun to create!

New DT!
Well, I'm finally getting out of my scrappy funk and there was a DT call at one of my favorite sites...so I applied....and made the team! I can't believe it! I love this site. It has a great group of ladies and tons of challenges you can pick and choose from. Come check it out --> http://sassyscrappers.darkbb.com/
Oh...and for you picture lovers...I will have my second 92 days of summer layout up this evening!

92 days of summer
Here is my first layout and photos for the 92 days of summer contest over at YMBD. I thought I would have a hard time taking a picture everyday and then scrapping them at the end of the week. But, they are providing great inspiration and wonderful sketches. This was originally based on a one page sketch. But, I didn't want my photos that small and it easily converted to a two pager. I really like it. I used mostly MM Whimsy line for this layout. I had started taking photos representing my getting ready for summer vacation. Well, that got blown out of the water when we unexpectedly went to cleveland for my hubby's friend's father's funeral...So much for the theme!
Kelly's canapy
Here are some photos of Kelly's canapy that I made. She picked Tinkerbell for her theme...so we started with the bedding and came up with green for the walls. I originally was just going to make the mobile (the butterflys were from her pet shop birthday party), but when I saw the sparkly netting...well...a canapy was inspired. The photos do not do it justice.
I plan on adding a border at chair rail height of flowers/tinkerbell/butterflys and inspirational words...but later...I need to scrap!
