Pinterest inspiration

So...I'm a big fan of pinterest.  It is such a beautiful thing.  What a great way to save all the scrappy inspiration I see on the net.  The problem is that I pin more than I create...seems that way.  But this weekend, I actually created.

I found this on the AC blog and thought I'd make one for each of the kids.
Totally cool, right?
So I was packing up for The Scrapbooking Studio's Christmas in July crop and found these absolutely adorable BoBunny papers and I knew they would be perfect for Max's.  Of course, I had to make one for Kelly also.

So check out what I created from my pin!  Woohoo!!!

Slip and Slide

Lynn challenged us to use those transparencies and I was all over it!  I have a bunch of Fancy Pants ones and knew these slip and slide photos would work with them.  I love the movement I created with the photos.  And who knew you could get 8 photos on a one page layout!

And thanks to Diana for the card/layout challenge.  She has challenged us to create at least 2 cards from the scraps of our layouts!  What a great challenge.  I had been in the habit of this a while ago and for some reason stopped.  I'm so glad Diana gave me the nudge to get it started again!

House Split

I had these really cute photos of Kelly in a Bears cheer outfit and Max decked out in Browns gear.  How perfect is it that he is not happy about that!  LOL!!  Check it out...I used a Simple Stories boy line.  Very fun papers!
I also put together a couple of masculine birthday cards from the scraps.

Happy Birthday and July Challenges

Sheesh!  I haven't posted since June 15th!  What a crazy month it has been for me.  From vacation, to BBQ's, to my birthday...crazy busy.  So here I am to catch up.

Today is my Mother In Law's birthday.  Happy Birthday Jackie...I hope you have a wonderful day.  This card will make it into the mail tomorrow!

Next is my July 1st OLW challenge.  The word I chose was VACATION.  I thought it was a great word since I had these old photos and we were about to leave on one.
And finally, my July 15th challenge... Choose a layout from your past and lift it.  It could be one you love or one that was in the "Thank goodness it is done" category.  I chose one from the latter category.  I had wanted to try the SU! watercolor crayons and I thought these coloring egg photos would be perfect.  I had fun creating the swirls and coloring, but in the end I thought the layout ended up too heavy on the right.  I should have done something on the left to balance it out.  (created June 19, 2009)

So I thought I'd try again.  I used water color pencils this time.
