Now...I bet some of you are wondering...what's in it for me?? Well...good question! Actually every week, the top 3 layouts will get some love. Then at the end of the month, we'll pick a winner for this totally wonderful prize -->
So...whatcha waiting for...get scrapping!!
Here is my take. I had this family photo we shot when my brother and his girlfriend were in from Slovakia for Thanksgiving. It was soo great to see them. I have very few photos of all of us together...in fact this is the first!!! I just had to scrap it.
But how?? Well, I kept coming back to how much I love this family (only missing my dad in the photo). So I went with the MME valentine papers. I also wanted to show the love bursting from the photo...therefor the sunburst. Sunbursts are soo easy to make. I had stayed away from them because I thought they are too hard. So I googled and came up with this tutorial on Bella Blvd's site. Laura Vegas has great directions and photos. But the engineer in me started thinking...Sunbursts start from a point and go out...duh!
So, I picked the point, drew the lines on cardstock, and cut them out for templates...viola...sunburst! I also wanted to use a big FAMILY for the title. I cut it with my silhouette, put some stitching on...and viola...an awesome layout of my family!
Give it a try...scrap one photo...and post on the Scrap your Story blog...can't wait to see what you create.
